Expressive and outgoing, Kaitlyn is sure to be the center of attention. Born in 2004, this sweet, sensitive, young lady is clearly not your typical princess. While she would excitedly spend the day at the spa, a trip to the park or library also brings a smile to her face.   Music is a huge part of her life, as she is always listening to one of her favorite songs on her MP3 player. Kaitlyn is waiting for a fun, happy, and generous forever family to compliment her creative spirit.

Jermell is an athletic and creative young man who is very family-oriented and strongly bonded to his two younger brothers. “Jermell has really good leadership qualities and he’s humble about it too, which is rare for a kid his age,” Jared W. states. Jermell can also be described as resilient and adaptable. He enjoys writing lyrics, listening to music and wants to pursue a music career when he graduates high school. He states that his favorite musician is himself and his favorite sports teams are the Cleveland Cavaliers and Pittsburgh Steelers.

Leon is a reserved young man that is talented at drawing and enjoys playing video games. “He’s quiet at first but loves to joke around once he gets to know you,” Jared W. states, “and that’s when he will let his guard down and talk more.” Leon enjoys playing basketball with his brothers and playing videogames such as NBA 2K17 and other first-person action-adventure games. One day, he would like to pursue a career as a video game designer as well. Leon describes one of his best qualities as being a shoulder to lean on for his friends and states, “I’m most thankful for my friends, too.”

Ja-heem is a sweet, confident young man who loves to be the center of attention and make people laugh. A couple of his favorite things to do is play video games, specifically NBA 2K19, and play basketball with his brothers. Ja-heem has told his adoption caseworker that he hopes to be able to live with his brothers in a home that wants to adopt all of them. He is described as a jokester, honest, and a good kid all around. Ja-heem has a great, easy-going personality that will be easy for you to fall in love with and difficult to ever forget!

Confident and outgoing, David goes by DJ. This articulate and expressive young man was born in 2003. DJ is athletic and enjoys playing most sports, but especially loves basketball! Vivacious and creative, Dezaray is a loving young lady born in 2002.  Whether she is relaxing at home or out having fun, her animated personality makes her the center of attention.  Dezaray loves music and If she’s not listening to her favorite Justin Bieber songs, she can often be found singing and dancing.  She enjoys staying busy by swimming, coloring and going shopping. Dezaray does well in school where math is her favorite subject.  Having a forever family is very important to Dezaray and she wants to be adopted by a supportive, dedicated and fun-loving family.

 KARL 

2006

Karl is a very sweet and comical young man who loves to help,

even when it’s not asked of him.  He enjoys making crafts, woodworking, building things, playing video games and card games, going swimming and participating in school sports. Karl has also shown a desire play tackle football and he has recently joined boy scouts. Karl loves watching football and following his favorite team, the Giants!

 

Karl’s favorite subject in school is math and his least favorite is reading. He aspires to be a carpenter where he can use his hands to build things. His other vocational goal is to enroll in the army.

  

Karl wants to find a family that is very active with him, whether it’s going out to see a new movie in theaters or helping him pursue activities such as boy scouts or football. He loves animals, especially big dogs and gets along well with younger children. Karl would do well with a family that is patient, yet firm and will encourage him to do his best.

 DEVIN 

2005

Have you ever known a child that wears out his shoes within months because of how much he plays basketball?  Devin is the epitome of this! He is a very athletic and intelligent young

 man, who enjoys playing football and basketball as well as watching sports, both college and professional.

 

Devin does well in school and is very easy to talk to and 

engages well.  One of his previous foster parents states, “He’s a nice kid. He’s very helpful. Devin does a good job on anything you ask him to do and seldom argues about it.”

 

Devin would thrive best in a family that communicates clear expectations to him and is given the opportunity to be heard. Devin is waiting for a family who will be straight-forward and honest with him.

Ian is a very friendly child.  When initially meeting someone, he tends to be shy but once he gets to know you, he opens up and loves to talk.  He is honest and will let you know exactly how he feels.  He enjoys one-on-one interaction and loves to laugh and joke around.  Ian is caring and protective of those he cares about.  He is energetic and states that he likes to help work on cars.  He enjoys electronics and playing games on coolmath.com.

Ian would very much enjoy a forever family who lives in the country and has animals to take care of.  He would love to live on a farm or live close to the mall as he identifies those as some of his favorite places.
