Executive Director
Tim Schaffner Named Executive Director
At it’s 2012 November meeting, the Trumbull County Children Services Board appointed Timothy Schaffner as the agency’s executive director. Schaffner had served as interim director since April 18, 2012.
As a leader in behavioral health and residential care for children, Schaffner provides consultation and training for many educational, residential and child welfare facilities and brings a wealth of management and child mental health treatment experience to his role as executive director. “It’s an honor and a privilege to be named executive director of this great organization,” shared Schaffner. He says that the agency will continue to focus on ensuring that children thrive in a safe family environment. “Adoption and foster parent programs, as well, remain a priority in the county,” he continued. Schaffner served in the same position at Valley Counseling Services prior to joining Trumbull County Children Services, and from 1995 to 2006 served as Corporate Director/Corporate Clinical Executive for the Center for Behavioral Medicine at Forum Health.
